Sprout Social and the EU Digital Services Act
What is the EU Digital Services Act?
The Digital Services Act (“DSA”) is a regulation from the EU that captures a broad range of digital services that have a presence or customer base in the EU, introducing new obligations as it relates to content moderation and other topics to digital service providers. As Sprout Social is both based in the EU and serves customers located in the EU, the DSA applies to Sprout Social’s platform offering.
Who should I notify if I believe content on the Sprout Social platform is illegal?
Please email legal@sproutsocial.com and make sure to include the following information:
1. A detailed explanation of why you believe the content is illegal (please reference our Usage Policy to understand restrictions on content and use of Sprout Social);
2. A URL or pinpoint location on where the content resides on the platform;
3. Your name and email address;
4. A statement that you, to the best of your knowledge, believe that the information in your email is accurate and complete.
Please provide your communications in the English language. We will confirm receipt and notify you of our decision on such content. We may decline to remove the content in the event that we request further information and do not hear back from you. Note that any personal information included in your email will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
