Consumers use Google to search for information about local businesses, restaurants, and more. Not only can the content they find influence their buying decisions, but that feedback can also help business owners make improvements which can lead to more foot traffic and sales.
Now the search giant is making it easier for you to see what your customers are saying online through a new Reviews section on Google Places. If you have a verified business listing, you will now see your customer ratings and reviews in the easy-to-use review inbox.
Not only will all of your reviews and ratings be listed in the inbox, but you can respond directly to comments left by people on Google. For example, if someone is happy with your service, you can comment thanking them for their kind words. If someone shares areas for improvement, ask them for suggestions to encourage another visit.
Google Places Review Inbox
To get started, go to the Google Places dashboard you use to manage your business information and click the listing you’d like to manage. From there, choose Reviews from the left-hand navigation menu. There you’ll see the inbox listing any reviews Google users have left for your business as well as snippets of reviews written about you on other websites.
According to Google’s Jade Wang, the Review analytics tab includes information detailing where individuals have evaluated your business as well as the average score of reviews of your business.
