Facebook recently introduced and began rolling out real-time data for Insights, which helps to provide you with a more accurate image of your Page’s performance.

The social network continues to tweak Insights — the company’s free analytics tool that gives reports on impressions, engagement, and so on — and has added a new metric that hones in on mobile traffic referrals for apps.

The new Mobile Referrals dashboard aims to help you understand the traffic your app receives. To view this information, visit the main Insights dashboard or access Insights within your app settings. From there, click on Traffic and them Mobile. It’s important to note that you must be an admin, developer, or Insights user of the app in order to view the data.

The new data — which is also available in real-time — allows you to track the total amount of mobile app clicks across all sources, including the News Feed, notification, Timeline, search, and so on. Additionally the data can be broken down by device (iPhone, iPad, Android) and demographic (age, gender, language, country).

More people are accessing Facebook through mobile apps as Facebook continues to improve its mobile experience. Having more visibility about how and where people are accessing your apps is important for creating performance reports and planning updates.
