People Business Partner (EMEA)

Sprout Social is looking to hire a People Business Partner, based in Ireland, on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract. 

Are you a seasoned People Business Partner with expertise in the EMEA region, ready to make an immediate impact? Join our team for a 6-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for full-time employment, and play a pivotal role in aligning global HR strategies with diverse local needs. You'll be a trusted advisor to regional leadership, driving organizational effectiveness and fostering a high-performance culture across EMEA's complex legal and cultural landscape. This role bridges global HR with local implementation, partnering closely with global BU People Business Partners.

What you’ll do: 

  • Strategic Partnership  Establish and nurture strong relationships with regional EMEA leadership team, gaining a deep understanding of the diverse challenges and departmental landscapes across multiple countries. Serve as a trusted advisor, providing strategic HR guidance and support to achieve business goals within the complex EMEA legal and cultural environment.
  • Talent Strategy  : Collaborate with business leaders and global People Business Partner counterparts to identify talent needs, develop robust talent pipelines, and implement targeted talent development initiatives, ensuring alignment with regional market conditions and cultural nuances. Support succession planning and leadership development programs to build a strong leadership pipeline within the EMEA region.
  • Organizational Design: Partner with Business Units and People Team counterparts to design and implement organizational structures that optimize efficiency, effectiveness, and agility, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and regulations across EMEA. Support the implementation of restructurings, mergers, and acquisitions, ensuring smooth transitions within the regional context.
  • Organizational Effectiveness   Assess organizational capabilities and identify areas for improvement, working with the Employee Experience Team to facilitate organizational development initiatives that foster a culture of continuous improvement, taking into account cultural nuances and regional differences.
  • Data Insights: Track and analyze key HR metrics, including EMEA-specific data, to identify trends and areas for improvement, using data to inform HR strategies and recommendations tailored to the region.
  • Performance Experience: Partner with department leaders and the People Relations Manager to drive a high-performance culture by providing guidance on performance management systems and structures, addressing performance issues, and ensuring consistent application of performance standards in compliance with local EMEA labor laws.
  • Change Management: Support organizational change initiatives by developing and implementing effective change management plans tailored to the EMEA region. Communicate effectively with employees and stakeholders, considering cultural sensitivities, to ensure smooth transitions and minimize disruption.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5+ years of progressive HR Business Partner experience, with a proven track record in supporting organizations within the EMEA region.
  • Demonstrated experience assessing risk relative to the business, with a strong understanding of EMEA labor laws and cultural nuances.
  • Exceptional communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations within a multicultural environment.

How you’ll grow

Within 1 month, you’ll plant your roots, including:

  • Complete Sprout’s New Hire training program alongside other Sprout team members. You’ll gain a broader understanding of our product and how you fit in the organization.
  • Partner with your manager to define key success metrics for your role and how you will measure against them.
  • Conduct initial 1:1s with employees, managers, and other key strategic partners throughout the company to identify what a successful People relationship looks like and how you will work together.
  • Partner with our other People Business Partners to understand how they support their assigned teams and how your role will support their efforts. 
  • Understand as much as you can about our company, products, teams, and projects to creatively support our award-winning culture.

Within 3 months, you’ll start hitting your stride by:

  • Have learned our People team tools and processes and offer suggestions on how we can make things even better. We want you to dive in and help us find ways we can optimize our processes including ways to partner with our Recruitment, DEI, People Ops, Organizational Development, and Employee Experience teams to help us manage our global employee experience. Don’t be afraid to give us feedback. We welcome it.
  • Continue building relationships with key stakeholders to deeply understand the unique challenges of managing and leading within a publicly traded SaaS organization within each function and department you support.
  • Be confident in assisting management and leadership in resolving complex employee relations issues aligned with Sprout’s core values and practices.
