Benefits at Sprout
The quality of our work is a direct result of our health and wellbeing—both of which have never been more important. At Sprout, we are committed to providing a comprehensive and affordable benefits package to you and your family.
Health & Wellness
We provide several medical, dental and vision plan options to choose from as well as voluntary life/AD&D, company‐paid basic life/AD&D plan, short‐term disability and long‐term disability coverage. Plans and offerings vary by country.
Prescription drug coverage for generic, preferred and specialty drugs is also included with all three of our offered medical plans. Coverage varies by country.
Back & joint
BCBSIL works with Hinge Health to help you manage chronic back and joint pain. This program is offered at no cost to Sprout members enrolled in one of our three medical plan options.
Diabetes & hypertension
Livongo is a health benefit that helps make managing your (or your family member’s) diabetes easier. This program is offered at no cost to Sprout members enrolled in one of our three medical plan options.
HSA and FSA
Sprout offers several ways to set aside pre‐tax dollars to pay for medical, prescription drug, dental and vision care expenses.
We want you to be the best version of yourself, at home and at work. Our benefits include access to Modern Health, a mental health platform with opportunities to receive confidential, 1:1 coaching and therapy, live group sessions, meditations and unlimited support via text.
Nothing like a good sweat to boost both muscle and brain power. Sprout’s Chicago and Seattle office locations offer state-of-the-art fitness facilities onsite free to Sprout team members—including group classes.
We know how much you love your furry kids at home. We also know veterinary care can be expensive. Which is why we offer Figo Pet Insurance as part of our benefits package.
Family Care & Parental Leave
Sprout offers 16 weeks of paid parental leave to all employees following the birth or adoption of a child. Our philosophy is a commitment to all parents, which allows both Sprout employees and their families the balance and flexibility to fulfill the entire spectrum of parental responsibilities.
The loss of a loved one is a very hard time. Sprout employees can take five paid days off in the event of a loss of an immediate family member, and 10 days off after the loss of a child.
We know families are built in many different ways. We want to help ease any financial challenges with this family planning benefit of $5,000 USD.
Enhanced family support
When you have to work, you need support for your family. Whether it’s reliable child care, academic support and tutoring, pet care or housekeeping, Bright Horizons benefits have you covered.
Back-up child, adult and elder care
Don’t stress about school breaks, outbreaks, bad weather or tending to a loved one after surgery. Reserve high-quality care in a center or in your home for your child, adult or elder relatives through Bright Horizons.
Remote Flexibility & Focus
Whenever possible, Sprout wants to provide our team with the flexibility to work in the location that makes the most sense for them. If you prefer to work remotely, we can accommodate that for many roles and locations across the United States. (Certain eligibility required)
Office supply stipend
We want you to have everything you need for your work area to feel comfortable and productive, so we offer a one-time $550 USD total stipend to outfit your home setup.
In addition to the office supplies, we want to help mitigate any additional costs of working from home, so we also offer to reimburse up to $50 USD per month for internet plans.
Sprout has meeting-free Wednesdays to make space for regular, interruption-free time. This gives our teams the space they need to get deep in their work and solve hard problems with fewer distractions.
Inclusive Work Spaces
Sprout is committed to building safe and inclusive office spaces for every person, including all-gender restrooms in our Chicago and Seattle locations.
To care for your needs and the needs of your growing family, we provide three parenting rooms in our Chicago office, two in Seattle and one in Dublin.
Chicago’s Rescue Room is a dedicated, private space with dark/low light to care for your mental, emotional and spiritual health. It was created to aid in relief from stress, anxiety and any other related symptoms.
All-employee development program
Sprout’s learning and development program, Grow@Sprout, provides ongoing education and training opportunities and resources to enhance knowledge, develop our skills and help us own and grow our careers.
Leadership development program
Sprout’s GOLD (Growth-Oriented Leadership Development) program is designed to support and equip leaders at all levels to lead high-performing teams—from first-time people managers to more senior leaders.
Global Leadership Model
This model is the basis by which we evaluate the effectiveness of our leaders across Sprout. It’s a key input in our promotion processes, reinforces the key competencies that make successful leaders at Sprout and enables rich developmental discussions between leaders.
1:1 manager check-ins
Sprout team members meet regularly with their managers to discuss their work, growth, interests and challenges. It’s a dedicated space to ask questions, learn and share upward feedback.
Many teams across Sprout offer “skip-level” meetings where you can meet with someone a level above your manager. This access and visibility is a huge benefit to team members looking to expand their work relationships, deepen growth and development and share upward feedback.
Career bands were created to provide all team members with consistent and objective guidance for every level at Sprout. The bands are a strategic tool to measure yourself as a professional in your craft and help you assess where you are in your career.
Our pay is competitive in the market, including ways to optimize your earnings and investments like company equity, annual role and performance-based equity bonuses and a generous 401k contribution match.

The Sprout Social Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) provides employees the opportunity to purchase Sprout stock at a discounted price to further benefit from the financial success and growth of the company.
Annual equity grants
Sprout’s Annual Equity Program was created to provide more opportunities to participate in the financial upside of our long-term success. Each employee who meets the eligibility criteria (date of hire) will receive a set grant amount based on their role and level.
The Sprout Social Retirement Plan is our primary tool to help you save for retirement in a tax‐advantaged way. This 401(k)‐plan benefit gives you an easy way to save and includes a generous company contribution match to plan for your future.
Flex commuter benefits help you pay for your commute to and from work using pretax dollars, which saves you money on your taxes each year, and up to 40% on your commuting and parking costs.

Vacation & Time Off
At Sprout, we encourage you to take PTO as needed/wanted. While allotments vary by country, we strive to offer PTO policies that exceed industry benchmarks.
Once a month, the entire company is given a day off to rest and recharge (R&R). During R&R days, everyone is expected to step away from email, Slack and any work-related tasks, and use the time to do something you enjoy!
We all have special days we observe and celebrate, unique to our countries, cultures and belief systems. Sprout’s holiday calendar includes designated days off by country.
Sprout is intentional about bringing our distributed workforce together to deepen connection, collaboration and camaraderie. Whether it’s our annual company Kickoff, Midyear Meetup, or recurring breakfasts and happy hours, we want to celebrate the joy of being together when we can.
Interest-based Slack channels
Sprout has a number of interest-based Slack channels. So if you have a passion, hobby or interest you’d love to connect with folks across the org over, chances are there’s probably a channel for it. (And if there isn’t, just make a new one!)
Not to be confused with the delicious doughy treat, donuts are Sprout’s name for cross-company connections. Our optional #talk-donut Slack channel connects you with a different team member every two weeks for an in-person or virtual chat.
