As a leader in social media management solutions, we serve a global customer base, including top brands and emerging businesses, helping them navigate the evolving digital landscape with innovative tools and unmatched customer support.

Sprout Social is a place where people and their ideas thrive. Our success stems from a strong commitment to our people, our customers, and our community.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to our SVP of Customer Experience, as the Global Vice President of Solutions Engineering, you will lead teams across EMEA and the US and serve as a strategic advisor to our APAC team. You will lead a cross-functional team of Solution Engineering, Business Value Advisory, Demo Engineering, and Solution Architecture.

Working collaboratively with customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders, the solutions engineering team leads customer discovery, delivers value-based product demonstrations, proposes appropriate solutions to meet the customer’s goals, owns the product and technology components of RFP responses, and ensures the successful delivery of managed trials and POCs.

In this role, you will enable the team to deliver upon the needs of our prospects and customers while ensuring we have the right processes and capabilities to support our global growth strategy. You will become an expert on Sprout Social’s platform and how it can drive social success for organizations of all sizes. You will serve as a strategic partner to global sales leaders and a senior leader in the Revenue organization.

  • Leadership & Development: Lead and develop a global solution engineering leadership team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth, ensuring team members meet performance metrics.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring their satisfaction and understanding of the value of Sprout’s platform. Be a trusted advisor to customers, helping them achieve their business goals through our platform.
  • Sales Strategy and Execution: Collaborate with our CRO and other senior leaders to develop and implement sales strategies that leverage technical resources effectively.  Partner with the sales team to identify and prioritize high-impact opportunities, providing technical insights and strategic guidance.
  • Product Collaboration: Work closely with our R&D department as the voice of the sales organization to provide strategic guidance on product roadmap. Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to position Sprout effectively in the market while providing strategic guidance on product direction.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Oversee the strategic planning and execution of the Solution Engineering go-to-market plan. Ensure alignment with sales objectives and customer needs to support business goals and drive revenue growth.

What you’ll bring:

You are a results-oriented and collaborative leader with a proven track record of strategic leadership, driving global commercial sales strategies that align with core business objectives. You are a dedicated leader with experience building and leading high-performing, diverse sales teams while fostering a culture of accountability, inclusion, and operational excellence. You have demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration, leveraging data-driven insights to drive revenue growth.

The minimum qualifications for this role include:

  • 12+ years of experience in sales engineering or technical sales roles, with a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience
  • Second-line leadership experience with demonstrated ability to lead leaders while driving alignment with strategic objectives
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and scaling a sales engineering team in a high-growth environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop technical talent

Preferred qualifications for this role include:

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically with a strong understanding of business operations and a focus on delivering customer-centric solutions
  • Proven experience navigating complex sales processes and influencing decision-making at all levels

How you’ll grow

Within 1 month, you will plant your roots, including:

  • Conducting a talent assessment of your team to understand coaching and development opportunities as well as hiring needs across your organization

  • Developing a roadmap for scaling resources and capabilities to support future growth

Within 6 months, you’ll be making a clear impact through:

  • Start executing on go-to-market strategies, ensuring that the team is effectively managing their book of business, proactively engaging sales teams, and meeting close rates and deal metrics. Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) for team success and individual accountability

  • Bring fresh ideas and innovative solutions to the table, using your unique skills and perspective to drive positive change and make an impact in ways we haven't yet imagined

This role’s minimum On Target Earnings (“OTE”) is $288,000.00 USD annually. OTE is the sum of a fixed base salary plus incentives at target performance. Incentive compensation will vary based on performance. The minimum amount earned is the fixed base salary.

These ranges were determined by a market-based compensation approach. We used data from multiple sources, including, but not limited to, trusted third-party compensation sources to set equitable, consistent and competitive ranges. We also evaluate compensation bi-annually, identify any changes in the market and make adjustments to our ranges and existing employee compensation as needed.

OTE is only one element of an employee's total compensation at Sprout. Every Sprout team member has an opportunity to receive restricted stock units (RSUs) under Sprout’s equity plan. Employees (and their dependents) are covered by medical, dental, vision, basic life, accidental death, and dismemberment insurance, and Modern Health (a wellness benefit).  Employees are able to enroll in Sprout’s company’s 401k plan, in which Sprout will match 50% of your contributions up to 6% with a maximum contribution.
