Sprout Social is looking to hire a Senior People Business Partner. Based out of Dublin, this PBP role will work with all leaders across all Revenue and Operations functions in EMEA (Ireland and the UK)

As the regional People Business Partner,  you’ll play a key role in building, developing, and engaging our growing teams across EMEA. 

What you’ll do

  • Align our EMEA talent strategy by collaborating with leaders and deeply understanding their businesses and priorities.
  • Co-lead change management and organization design in partnership with the VP & General Managers in our International markets with strategic support across compensation, performance management, career development, and talent retention
  • Collaborate with People and cross-functional teams  (Recruitment, Organizational Development and Learning, DEI, People Operations, Legal, etc) to develop, implement, and promote global initiatives that improve employee experience and engagement 
  • Recommend, develop, execute, and operationalize HR and performance management best practices  required to scale our business globally 
  • Lead through influence by coaching leaders to embrace courageous conversations necessary to move the business forward
  • Analyze and interpret data to develop informed strategies, solutions, people programs, and policies
  • Proactively lead and manage all first-line employee relations cases, ensuring managers are offered practical advice and guidance in line with legislation. Serve as a resource for employees when navigating challenging personal or professional issues that impact their work experience
  • Help support the Employee Experience of both office and remote-based employees working to ensure a culture focused on inclusivity and belonging.

What you’ll bring

You are flexible and can prioritize initiatives based on impact and work well with diverse teams within the PBP, People, and greater organization to drive a coherent business strategy based on a shared set of values and company mission.  You are willing to dive in where needed and is comfortable pivoting between high-level strategy and day-to-day rolling up your sleeves as the situation requires.

Since this role is about quickly growing a team, we’re looking for someone with significant experience in scaling HR processes within a high-growth technical company (tools, best practices, relevant laws and regulations,  etc.), a strategic lens (connecting day-to-day work with bigger-picture organizational objectives) as well as experience understanding and navigating the cultural sensitivity and impact of leading teams across multiple countries.

The minimum qualifications for this role include:

  • 10+ years of experience as an HR Practitioner
  • 5+ years of experience as a People Business Partner in a global organization- aligned to Revenue & Operations teams ranging from VP+  senior leadership to ICs
  • Strong ability to prioritize initiatives based on impact and influence leaders across all levels of the organization

Preferred qualifications for this role include:

  • Experience working with the following tech stacks: Workday, Culture Amp, Lattice, Jira
  • Willingness to work from our Dublin office location 1-2X week 

How you’ll grow

Within 1 month, you’ll plant your roots, including:

  • Complete Sprout’s New Hire training program alongside other Sprout team members. You’ll gain a broader understanding of our product and how you fit in the organization.
  • Partner with your manager to define key success metrics for your role and how you will measure against them.
  • Conduct initial 1:1s with employees, managers, and other key strategic partners throughout the company to identify what a successful People relationship looks like and how you will work together.
  • Partner with our other People Business Partners to understand how they support their assigned teams and how your role will support their efforts. 
  • Understand as much as you can about our company, products, teams, and projects to creatively support our award-winning culture.

Within 3 months, you’ll start hitting your stride by:

  • Have learned our People team tools and processes and offer suggestions on how we can make things even better. We want you to dive in and help us find ways we can optimize our processes including ways to partner with our Recruitment, DEI, People Ops, Organizational Development, and Employee Experience teams to help us manage our global employee experience. Don’t be afraid to give us feedback. We welcome it.
  • Continue building relationships with key stakeholders to deeply understand the unique challenges of managing and leading within a publicly traded SaaS organization within each function and department you support.
  • Be confident in assisting management and leadership in resolving complex employee relations issues aligned with Sprout’s core values and practices.

Within 6 months, you’ll be making a clear impact through:

  • Being a trusted advisor to key stakeholders and the departments you support through the alignment of people management initiatives to the overall business strategy. 
  • In partnership with our People Ops and People team practice leads, dive into our people data (engagement, retention, performance, attrition, etc.) to make data-driven recommendations on how to accelerate talent development, scale processes, further embed DEI initiatives, and improve the overall employee experience.
  • Begin to collaborate with department heads to influence systemic change through the presentation of well-developed and structured proposals and hold stakeholders accountable through robust communication and effective change management strategies.

Within 12 months, you’ll make this role your own by:

  • Be completely settled in as a critical member of the People Team, with a deep understanding of employees within your client groups and the company’s needs.
  • Embody and add to our People team culture by contributing to the engagement and growth of the broader People team. 
  • Surprise us! Use your unique ideas and abilities to change the People Team in beneficial ways that we haven’t even considered yet.
