Set up Rules to Automatically Tag Incoming Messages
Auto-tagging helps you add rules in your Smart Inbox to automatically tag your inbound messages if they match certain criteria. Set up rules to tag all incoming messages based on specific keywords, phrases or message types.
- HOW-TO:
- Go to your Smart Inbox and click the Settings icon on the right bar menu. Select Inbox Settings.
- Select Create new rule.
- Select the Auto-tag rule type.
- Enter a rule title and description. From here you’ll decide to tag the message depending on if it contains an explicit keyword or phrase, is received by a specific profile or message type, or any combination of these criteria.
- Choose the tag(s) that will apply to the messages. Tags will appear that have been already added to your system tags, which can be updated any time at Settings > Tagging.
- Select Save Rule. You’ll now see a preview of your rule. Choose Got It to complete the setup.
- Add, Delete, Edit, or turn rules on or off at any time by going to Inbox Settings under the Settings icon from the Smart Inbox.
