Edit Your Images Directly From Compose
Sprout’s Compose window now includes a built-in image editor powered by an integration with the Adobe Creative Cloud SDK—available in Premium and above plans. Sprout’s image editor enables publishers to add filters, frames, text overlay and stickers as well as adjust color, brightness, shadows and more.
- HOW-TO:
- Open Compose.
- Click the camera icon (or drag/drop) to upload an image to Compose.
- Hover over the attached image and click Edit.
- Make edits and click Apply after each edit.
- Click Save.
- Finish composing your message and apply any necessary targeting, approval workflow or tags.
- Click Save, Send, Schedule, Queue or Submit for Approval.
Crop Your Images To Optimize Them For Specific Networks & Post Types From Compose
Sprout’s new built-in image editor (available in Premium and above plans) includes an intelligent crop tool with preset options to resize your social images for specific networks and post types (powered by the same technology behind Landscape by Sprout Social).
- HOW-TO:
- Open Compose.
- Click the camera icon (or drag/drop) to upload an image to Compose.
- Hover over the attached image and click Edit.
- Choose the Crop tool.
- Intelligent, preset options optimized for specific network post types will display based on the profiles/networks you have selected in the profile picker.*
- Choose your optimized crop option and click Apply.
- Click Save.
- Finish composing your message and apply any necessary targeting, approval workflow or tags.
- Click Save, Send, Schedule, Queue or Submit for Approval.
*Note: If you have multiple profiles from different networks selected in the profile picker, the image editor will display optimized image sizes for each network; however, only one crop size can be selected. You are not able to create multiple versions of the image based on distinct crops for each network. Add the Branded Content Tag to Verified Facebook Page Posts From Compose
In order to comply with Facebook’s new Branded Content Policy for verified Pages, Sprout’s Compose window now includes an option to properly apply the Branded Content Tag to posts that feature a third party product, brand or sponsor.
- HOW-TO:
- Open the Compose window and select a verified Facebook Page from the profile picker.
- A “handshake” icon will automatically appear once you’ve selected a verified Facebook profile.
- Compose your message.
- Click the “handshake” icon and start typing the name of the Facebook Page you’d like to tag, which activates the profile dropdown menu.
- Select the correct Page from the menu.
- Finish composing your message and apply any necessary targeting, approval workflow or tags.
- Click Save, Send, Schedule, Queue or Submit for Approval.
