Why is viral post only on premium plans?

Brit at Sprout Social 32 pts moderator

masseym Hey Matt! Viral Post is an expensive software for us to run, so that's why it's at the Premium level price point. We did bring the Premium price down to $99 (from $899) to help fit more budgets.

when is FB page messages going to be supported?

Brit at Sprout Social 32 pts moderator

Hi there! Our engineers are currently looking into supporting Facebook private messages.

Has this been updated to work with the iPhone app yet? Also this is a little off topic but just curious if it was possible to customize the "via sprout social" to something else? I plan to run the 99$ plan for the viral posting feature.

Also just curious if safari will eventually get an addon as well. I know Firefox and chrome have something already.

DanielBeattie Hi Daniel! iPhone app isn't *quite* ready with Queue, but coming soon.

We do offer custom attribution ('via' tags) for Facebook Pages for an additional fee. Feel free to shoot us an email at sales[at]sproutsocial and we'd be happy to discuss those details with you!

I think a Safari add-on may in the future, but will let you know if I get anymore details on that. You can use the bookmarklet Safari in the meantime though!

Just started using a couple hours ago. Very useful and a welcome addition. Bravo!

Now when are we gonna see a "Save Draft" feature :)

Brit at Sprout Social 32 pts moderator

ColinDigital Thanks, Colin! Our team is definitely looking into handling that type of workflow and working it into our app, but also trying assess the demand for certain features, so timelines and roadmaps are constantly shifting and expanding. We're absolutely aware of it though!

Brit at Sprout Social I know you are, but that's not gonna stop me from pestering you about it until you get it in there :p

Nice!  Finally eliminates the need to jump between Sprout and Buffer.  Curious to dive into it.

dannygreer Let us know how you like it once you've played around with it a bit more, Danny!

Brit at Sprout Social Are there any plans for integration into Google Reader?

ColinDigital 6 pts

dannygreer  Brit at Sprout Social You can use the Queue function with Google Reader posts

dannygreer 5 pts

ColinDigital Brit at Sprout Social Thanks Colin.  By integration, I mean an icon in Reader (as in http://imgur.com/pzTeO).  As I see it now, you still have to open each post in its own tab/window to use the Queue.  If I use the Chrome extension when a Google reader post is expanded IN Reader, it simply shows a link to my Reader account.  Is this correct?

Brit at Sprout Social 32 pts moderator

dannygreer  Do you have your Google Reader connected in Sprout already? If you click 'share', then Compose will pop up and you can Queue it from there! Is that what you're looking for?

Brit at Sprout Social Thanks for the shout back, Brit.  Totally with ya.  I like the ability to star posts and mark them as read without actually having to click on each one and 'open' them.  I guess for this I'll still need to stick with the actual Google Reader interface.  From there I can always open them up in another window and then send them to the Queue (just one extra step).  Appreciate your response!

dannygreer Gotcha! I'll pass along your feedback to the team though to consider for future features.

ColinDigital 6 pts

dannygreer  Brit at Sprout Social Yeah sorry I was talking about within the Sprout interface. I know what you mean about marking posts without having to click on each one but I find using Sprout for reading and sharing in general is easier. Once I'm done, I usually just mark them all as read in one swoop by going over to the native Reader interface.
