In my humble opinion, auto dm is just like scheduling post. It will be considered as SPAM if you

don't know how to engage with others afterwards.

ValerieDeveza I have mixed feelings about scheduled posts, I think when used in moderation it can be fine. For example every morning at 11 I have a scheduled post for the best video I saw the day before. Thing is I'm awake and on to engage with people when they watch and react.

Also, sometimes I have multiple things I discover and want to share but I don't want to flood people's feeds by posting all at once. Scheduling can space things out as to not annoy people.

However, the people who schedule out their whole day and aren't there to reply I would agree with you. I think scheduling is a gray area, I think scheduling is a valuable tool but any tool can be abused.

Thanks for your comments.

localcelebrity I do schedule my tweets a lot as I'm 12 hours ahead my target audience. I do it to not annoy

my followers with my tweets. (I tweet a lot :P)

Like you, I love to share articles so I try to spread it out on different dates and time.

And I agree with you. Just like any other too it can be abuse. I see a lot of people who do that

and I hate it when they dont reply back. :(

Stopped automating DM responses a long time ago as they were an annoyance to us personally so why subject our clients followers to them!
