Google+ Confirms Plans for Small Business Pages
In response to concern from the business community about the current Google+ beta, the company’s Head of Commerce and Local Jeff Huber confirmed Google+ pages for businesses are coming.
The current version of the new social networking service is geared towards individuals, and businesses have been told not to make profiles for themselves yet. Though that warning hasn’t stopped many social networking brands from already establishing their presence there such as Mashable.
Google clarified that they want to build a different kind of Google+ page for businesses, one that supports brands and the ability to extend their presence into the new service properly.
In the meantime, though direct invites into the personal Google+ pages have been shut down, workarounds are being posted around the Internet that allowing current participants to invite friends regardless.
