I'm sorry but if i saw a link like that, as i have done many times, I'd be afraid that it was spam/malicious so i wouldn't open it. I'd right away block you and know many others do the same. Please think about how this is /actually/ helpful to you, Seems more of a hindrance to me.

Definitely get what you mean - especially with all of the spam and phishing accounts about these days. One thing that I've been trying lately is using a custom link shortener - other than bit.ly, tinyurl, etc. that uses a short version of the brand or product name. Clicks on those links seem to be getting at least 50-70% more clicks compared to using bit.ly or other shortened links.

.tco links also seem to get decent traffic, as well as the fb.me - mostly, I'd say, because people know those links go to Twitter or Facebook and are less likely to be spam. It might be worth trying if you are having trouble getting traffic on your links.

Okay so call me illtwtterite, but how is this helpful?

I like that tip. I'm in the shallow end of the pool when it comes to Twitter but I'm making my way to the deep end soon!

Is this only possible with the Twitter.com? Is there a way to do it with a Twitter client or app?

Free knowledge like this doesn't just help, it pormtoe democracy. Thank you.

Love this Twitter tip, so useful!

I was wondering that as well! There's always something new to learn every day about Twitter!

Hi @innonlonglake!

There's definitely something new to learn about Twitter every Tuesday at least! ;)

Really happy that we were able to show you something new. (And by the way, great social media chops by converting that 'snow day' booking during the storm for @landshark 's Mom!

I always look forward to Twitter Tip Tuesdays! And there's a lot of other great tips you can find in some of the past articles, which I navigate around when I can!

I had wondered how you did that!

That's neat Dr. J @Pure_Chiro ! I'm glad you were able to learn something new. Thanks for the comment!
