My own view is that it depends on the role of the individual. If an individual IS the brand then personal photo.

It's a great debate here whether leave our Twitter picture the hotel's logo, or to put a picture with a 'face' to the tweets. All of our advertising, business cards etc have this logo, so people are familiar with this image. The jury is still out on this one here... what do other people think?

It really depends on your brand. Do multiple people tweet, or is there one person on your team who's really emerged as the personality behind the brand? Personally I think it's better to stick with the logo; that will endure after that person leaves your team.
