Facebook Revives Questions With a New Visual Format
Facebook tests several subtle changes across its platform regularly. While some have little impact on your daily activities, others could change the way you engage your community.
The social network appears to be testing a new, much more noticeable format for its Q&A tool, Questions. This feature allows you to ask fans simple, multiple choice questions.
The new layout, which has only been spotted on the social network’s own “Known Issues on Facebook” and “Facebook Tips” Pages, now features a larger icon and subtle animations. The updated look also appears on mobile devices — however, you still can’t ask questions through mobile.

Originally launched in 2011, Questions hasn’t seen wide adoption among brands and businesses. Many Pages still use status updates to ask questions; although, it was recently revealed that this might not be the most effective method.
We’re still waiting on more details from Facebook about whether this will remain exclusive or if it will roll out to all Pages. But don’t let the current format stop you from using this feature. Questions offers marketers another way to communicate with fans, whether you’re seeking feedback on a new product, or just looking for a different type of interaction.
