Sprout Social Adds Feedly Cloud Support for Google Reader Refugees
- Social Media
Following RSS feeds has been part of the suite of features offered by Sprout Social for a long time now, but as most of you know, Google Reader will close down on July 1. That’s why we’ve partnered with an innovative, leading company — Feedly — to help you stay updated on your feeds moving forward.
Sprout Social is one of the first tools to support Feedly Cloud, and the integration is live right now, so if you’re a Sprout Social customer you can get started with your feeds immediately. You can bring in your existing Feedly data or create a new account — it’s up to you.
To set it up, just go to the “Feeds” tab in Sprout Social, then click the settings wheel next to RSS reader. A window will appear that includes the option to “Connect Feedly.” If you aren’t already signed into Feedly in your browser, you’ll be taken to Feedly’s website to sign up using your Google account.
Note that adding Feedly to your Sprout Social account doesn’t add to your maximum number of profiles. Give it a try and let us know if you have any feedback. If you don’t have an account with Sprout Social, read up on the features and sign up for a free trial!
