Earlier today, Facebook introduced Timeline for Pages and a Premium advertising model for brands. Its Marketing Conference is in full swing and new features and updates are still being announced.

The latest update focuses on Facebook Insights, the company’s free analytics tool that gives reports on impressions, engagement, and more. Over the last few weeks, many people have reported delays of up to four days.

Those delays were well worth it because today Facebook has confirmed that Insights data will be available in real-time. The social network has been making changes to its system, which caused some irritability.

Currently the only near-real-time analytics come from third-party apps, which include Likes, comments, and shares. The upgrade is expected to improve the timeliness of impressions, reach, negative feedback, people talking about this, and user demographics — which will definitely help when creating performance reports.

It’s important to note that these updates aren’t live yet and that real-time changes to Insights are expected over the next few weeks.
