It appears that Facebook is testing a new feature that provides event creators with guest suggestions.
Last December, the social network began testing a similar feature — Suggested Events — that combined data from check-ins and previously attended events to recommend new events to its members.
Suggested guests are listed along the right side of the event page with an invite button next to each name. Facebook’s recommendations appear to be based on interests relevant to the event and mutual friends attending.
As Inside Facebook pointed out, this feature could be made even stronger if it provided context around why an individual has been suggested. Despite this, by turning the tables around on the attendees, Facebook could help your business increase awareness for public events.
At this time it’s not clear how many members have access to this feature or when it will be made public.
