Google has quietly rolled out a new site aimed at helping brands reach target audiences through YouTube.
Earlier this month, YouTube introduced Channel Sponsorships, which enables you to reach a specific audience through original content. Now it appears that Google has made it easier for you to find the right fit.
YouTube Brandcast is a site dedicated to giving brands insight into how to how to reach viewers more effectively. The website is broken down into three parts. The first section focuses on content, specifically YouTube’s original content Channels, which are divided into categories.
The second section — which has yet to go live — breaks down the audience by demographic so that you can better understand the sponsorship packages tailored toward a specific audience. For example, if you’re targeting teens, you’ll be able to see which package reaches the “social & stylish” teen audience.
The third section, Marketer Resources, doesn’t have any content yet, but it’s fair to assume that it will feature helpful tips on how to reach your audience with content from the site, as well as Google+.
Google is certainly making YouTube more appealing to marketers and advertisers — especially after announcing the new AdWords for Video system, which lets you easily place and manage video ads. Although much of YouTube Brandcast isn’t live yet, we imagine it will be a powerful resource if you plan on dipping your foot into YouTube’s advertising pool.
