Last month, Facebook announced the final leg of its Timeline roll-out. As more profiles switch over, the question on everyone’s mind is when Pages can expect to receive the new interface.
The social network hasn’t shared many details about Timeline for Pages, but now AdAge is reporting that Facebook is planning to introduce new Pages for brands at this month’s Marketing Conference on February 29th.
The new pages will start in beta with a group of partners and will then be released to more marketers in stages. Facebook VP of Marketing and Business Partnerships told AdAge that “Timeline for brands would be ‘consistent’ with the Timeline look-and-feel, but not a carbon copy.”
It’s still unknown what the layout will look like, but it’s possible that the tabs or apps you use on your Facebook Page will be turned into boxes on the new interface.
With such a heavy focus on images and experiences, adopting the new interface could mean more marketing opportunities for your business. It’s still unconfirmed, but Facebook is expected to reveal more details about Timeline for Pages at the of the month.
