Due to its skyrocketing popularity, Pinterest has become a hotbed of content, which can sometimes be overwhelming. Over the weekend, the company quietly rolled out a new weekly email newsletter as a solution.

Following in the footsteps of many social networks, this newsletter helps you keep tabs on your own pins as well as discover new content that you might have otherwise overlooked.

The newsletter displays a few popular boards, pins from friends, and your most popular pins of the week — a feature that will no doubt be useful for brands. You can also check the number of likes and re-pins directly on Pinterest.

Each pin or board is linked to the website, but the newsletter would be even more valuable if you were able to re-pin or like a post directly from it. Currently, this functionality isn’t offered, but it’s possible it will appear in future iterations.

Despite the usefulness of this newsletter, it’s another email in your inbox. If you no longer wish to receive the digest, you can opt-in through your account settings.
