First, log in to Yelp at the Yelp for Business Owners page. Next, click the “Your Business” tab in the top-left corner of your business admin page, then click “Photos.” It’s important to note that the first image you upload on your “Upload Photos” page will become your default business page image.
If you see a photo on your admin page before all this starts, it means that you’ve already uploaded a business profile photo when you originally listed your business on Yelp. You can either delete an existing photo or add more photos to your listing.
To add additional photos, click the prominent red button labeled “Choose Photos.” Next, navigate to a photo on your computer that you’d like to upload and double-click it to begin the uploading process. Images will automatically be cropped and downsized to a square format when displayed on your page.
Although Yelp’s image uploader seems to do a very good job of finding the appropriate subject of your photo and cropping it accordingly, it might be helpful to save the images you want to use in a square format before uploading. For each image, you can add an optional 128-character caption — click the “Update Caption” button at the bottom to save your changes.
Adding video to your Yelp business page is currently a premium feature offered through Yelp’s paid advertising program. Yelp has partnered with a global network of video producers called TurnHere, to provide business owners a practical (and presumably affordable) means to get a professional grade video produced for their business.
Yelp offers two options for businesses to add videos to their pages. The “standard” video option provides businesses with a 30-second slideshow, produced from photos provided by the business. Background music and custom narration are also part of the standard slide show offering.
The “Premium” video option provides businesses with a 30-60 second custom video, recorded at the actual business location by one of the members of the TurnHere video production network.
The image below is what a Yelp business listing looks like with a premium video incorporated into the page. Click the image to go to the actual business page listing on Yelp. When the page opens, click the “Watch Video” link to see what a business page video looks like when viewed by a customer on Yelp.
