Google’s Hotel Finder – which was launched last July – just received a brand new feature that allows travelers to search for hotels all over the world based on their distance from a specific location.

Hotel Finder is an experimental tool that can help travelers easily locate hotels and provide additional details, including locations, rates, photos, and reviews.

The feature is very easy to navigate, which makes it useful for everyone, from tourists to people traveling for business. A traveler needs only to search for a landmark or address and Hotel Finder will display the hotels that can get him or her to that exact location in the desired amount of time.

Travelers can adjust travel time and mode of transportation preferences along the left side of the page. Google notes that because the feature is still being tested that filtering by transit time is only available in select cities that have teamed up with local transit agencies to integrate data into Google Maps. These cities include New York, Las Vegas, Honolulu, Niagara Falls, Paris, London, and Bangkok.

Hotel Finder is not just helpful for travelers, but it could also be useful for hotels, restaurants, and other local businesses around an individual’s desired area.
