Twitter for iOS isn’t the only app making headlines this week. Facebook has announced that businesses can now purchase Promoted Posts from its updated Pages Manager app.

Originally launched in May, the Pages Manager app enables you to post updates, upload photos, and respond to comments on your Facebook Page from your iPhone or iPad.

Promoted Posts are a relatively new advertising option that allow Pages with more than 400 Likes to display specific posts more prominently in News Feeds — instead of the right-hand side of the screen.

Not only are you now able to purchase Promoted Posts from the mobile app, but you will also see the amount of people reached through them for easy reporting. Keep in mind that not every admin role will be able to create ads. Make sure that you have the correct admin roles assigned for your team.

In addition to Promoted Posts, version 1.4 includes post scheduling and the ability to display stories in two columns on the iPad. Currently Pages Manager is only available for iOS.
