Businesses and organizations using Facebook Groups can now share files using Dropbox’s cloud-based storage system.
Currently, you can upload files from your computer to Groups. Moving forward, any document, photo, or video file in your Dropbox account can also be uploaded.
Similar to regular Group posts, members can Like or comment on a file uploaded from Dropbox. Additionally, if you make edits to the files you’ve shared, the Group will get an update automatically.
This isn’t the first integration between the two companies. Just last week Dropbox quietly announced that iOS users could share Dropbox content to Facebook or Twitter. However, today’s update is ideal for teams collaborating on documents, as well as for sports organizations and school clubs looking for an easy way to share notes and so on.
Getting started is simple; just click the “Add File” button on your Group’s page and connect your Dropbox account to Facebook (if you haven’t done so already).
