Today Facebook announced that it will acquire Atlas Advertiser Suite from Microsoft, confirming the recent rumors and leaks.
A leader in campaign management and measurement, Atlas allows advertisers to measure the impact of their ads across the web, including Facebook and other social platforms.
Facebook plans to improve Atlas’ capabilities by investing in scaling its back-end measurement systems and enhancing its current suite of advertiser tools on both desktop and mobile. The company also aims to improve the user interface and functionality.
The social network will gain a significant amount of new clients from the deal, but more importantly, advertisers already working with Facebook will have a more comprehensive understanding of their marketing campaigns.
Atlas’ team will continue to operate from Seattle, where the company is based. You can read more details regarding Facebook’s acquisition on the social network’s Newsroom page.
