Today Twitter has introduced several enhancements that make embedded tweets more engaging, useful, and fast. Embedded tweets make it possible for you to take any tweet and embed it directly in to the content of an article or website.
Tweets display photos, videos, article summaries, and other content shared in a tweet, just like you’d see on Twitter.com. The new embeds promise to display this content faster — an important update as Twitter Cards continue to be added.
Twitter has also added more context to embedded tweets. Now both you and your readers can instantly view retweet and favorite counts to better understand engagement. The design has also been tweaked slightly to make embedded tweets easier to read.
And finally, the company has made it easier to embed a tweet. Now you can just click the “More” button in any tweet — which was previously reserved for emailing a tweet. From this menu, select “Embed this Tweet” to add it to your blog post or website.
