Businesses have had mixed experiences with daily deals, but a recent study revealed that deal buyers are more likely to turn into repeat customers.
ForSee surveyed nearly 10,000 visitors to top retail websites between November and December 2011. Overall, it seems that companies like Groupon and LivingSocial are helping to create loyal customers.
According to customer experience analytics firm ForeSee, 91 percent of shoppers that have redeemed a deal said they have gone on to — or plan to — buy again from those businesses. Only three percent said they don’t plan to make a repeat purchase.
Of those surveyed, 89 percent of people who bought offers redeemed them. Additionally, 60 percent have enrolled in at least one daily deal program.
Although some of the buzz surrounding daily deals has died down, it seems like many local businesses and customers are still benefiting from daily deals. If you haven’t already, it could be worth looking into offering a deal or even starting a loyalty program for your current customers.
