Promote Your Web Profile With an Instagram Badge

Shortly after launching web profiles, Instagram is back with a new feature. Today the company introduced Badges, which are intended to help you promote your Instagram profile across the web.

Instagram web profiles are similar in design to Facebook Timeline, which shouldn’t be much of a surprise since the social network acquired the photo-sharing app earlier this year. Featuring a rotating collage and chronological history of your photos, these profiles add another layer to your Instagram presence.

Now, you can promote these profiles with official Instagram badges, which are similar to the badges and buttons offered by Twitter, Facebook, and Google+. They’re available in a range of sizes and can be added to your website, blog, or any other web property that you own.

Creating a badge is pretty straight-forward. To do so, make sure that you are logged in to your brand or business’ account, and select the badge you’d like use. Clicking on the badge will generate an embed code, which needs to be copied and pasted onto your site.

Just like other social badges, using Instagram badges is a good way to help fans discover and engage with your photos on the web as well as mobile.
