With a renewed focus on mobile, Pinterest has rolled out an update to its iOS app, including an all-new version for the iPad as well as Android devices.

Until now, the best experience for iPad owners was the regular Pinterest website. The new app follows the desktop experience with a four-column layout, and includes an embedded browser, which pops up a display of everything people have pinned from that website.

Android support has been in high demand and the company has finally delivered. The new app maintains the desktop “feel,” but packs the experience into two columns. Simply tap an image and it will fill the screen, giving you the option to repin, like, or comment.

The third most popular social network has also provided iPhone users with a faster app. Similar to the Android version, the redesigned iPhone app now features a two-column layout, allowing you to see more pins than the previous version — which sported a simple one-column display.

This update follows on the heels of Pinterest opening its service to anyone — previously people needed an invite to join. With two new apps and a revised third, activity on Pinterest is sure to spike.

Pinterest for iOS is available on Apple’s App Store. The Android app can be downloaded on Google Play. According to Pinterest, Kindle owners will be able to download Pinterest from the Amazon Appstore for Android later this week.
