Stats: Only 15% of Facebook’s User Base Engages With App Center
The App Center was launched in June and offers members a new way to discover both mobile and Facebook apps through personalized recommendations. Facebook rolled out the App Center to its international audience last month.
According to Facebook, people who download from the App Center are 35 percent more likely to return to the app the following day and 17 percent more likely to return to the app within the following week.
While the App Center is attracting 2.4 times the downloads that the original dashboard where games and apps were marketed, only 15 percent of Facebook’s user base is taking advantage of it — the company currently has 955 million members.
These numbers aren’t meant to deter you away from being listed in the App Center. It’s important to keep in mind that this is still a relatively fresh feature, and it could take some time to build substantial usage.
With that said, if you’re not finding the return you had hoped for from the App Center, you can still employ other methods of marketing your mobile or Facebook app on the social network.
