After receiving a great amount of feedback from members, Facebook announced that it will soon update its mobile app for Windows Phone users.

Like many mobile developers, much more focus is placed on Facebook’s iOS and Android apps, which receive regular updates, often times leaving BlackBerry and Windows Phone users with outdated features.

The updated software will bring several quasi-new features to the phone, including Threaded Messaging, active links within posts — so that links go directly to content — and the ability to delete posts and comments from your Wall.

Facebook has also included the ability to tag friends and locations in posts in the “with” and “at” format. This is a nice addition for local businesses, as now customers carrying Windows Phones can now check in to your location.

Additional updates have been made to the photo comments and likes page, which now matches the post comments and likes page. You’re able to see a preview of the image at the top of the page, and if you pull down, you can see the whole thing.

And finally, based on feedback from mobile users, Facebook added the ability to Like comments — a feature that has only been available in the social network’s iOS, Android, and web apps.

The updated software is currently undergoing the final rounds of testing before it’s made available for everyone.
