Easy and Cheap – Tim Danyo

Tim Danyo, owner of Imagination Media liked Dr. J’s post on Top Tips for Small Business Video Marketing. But like many small business owners, Tim wonders where he’s supposed to find the time to create his own business marketing videos.

I think the trend right now is to say video is super easy and super cheap. I don’t agree. Video marketing is effective. But do we actually have the time and energy to do it all ourselves and with a successful outcome?

Great points Tim. Our take is that guerilla video is ‘in’ right now and it makes sense for businesses to ride this wave while it’s still rising and while the barriers to entry are still low.

Where’s Simon Cowell When You Need Him? – April Vance

April Vance, owner of PearlBrite Victoria, weighed in our post Should Your Business Be Blogging.

April wonders out loud if blogging for small business is worth the effort:

I am a new business owner learning how to social network, blog and generally boot myself out of my comfort zone. Blogging feels a little like a repeating nightmare of appearing on American Idol over and over again, and never really hearing the verdict from the judges.

We think American Idol is overrated and past its prime anyway April!
Sing your own tune. Even thought it may be quiet at first, you’ll soon hear harmony and accompaniment from your followers and fans. After all, we’re singing along with you now, right?
